Bass fishing’s Junior World Champion to be crowned Aug. 1
National Guard Junior World Championship to be held in conjunction with Forrest Wood Cup in Pittsburgh
PITTSBURGH —Daily weigh-ins will be held at Kittanning Riverfront Park, and will be streamed live to fans around the world watching FLW Live on FLWOutdoors.com. All junior anglers will walk across the main stage to be recognized during the Saturday weigh-in of the Forrest Wood Cup in Mellon Arena.
The TBF National Guard Junior World Championship will feature youth anglers from as many as 41 states fishing for $30,000 in scholarships and prizes. Each participating state will be represented by two junior anglers: one in the 11 to 14 age bracket and another in the 15 to 18 age bracket, both of whom will receive travel assistance to Pittsburgh. Every youth angler will also be treated to a world championship-caliber pizza party served up by the National Guard pro team and featuring high-energy games, entertainment and sponsor prizes.

FLW Live will broadcast takeoffs and weigh-ins daily from the Forrest Wood Cup presented by BP and Castrol, Thursday, July 30 – Sunday, Aug. 2
6:30 -7:15 a.m. ET
5:00 p.m. ET until completion of weigh-in
NOTES: FLW Outdoors will have live broadcasts each morning from Steelers Quay in Pittsburgh as the anglers prepare for all the action on the Three Rivers for the Forrest Wood Cup. The broadcast will feature select interviews, show the conditions the anglers will face and give fans an insight into the preparations and tension the anglers face each morning prior to competition.
The weigh-in broadcasts on FLW Live will show each angler participating in the Forrest Wood Cup weighing in their catch in hopes of taking a step closer to earning the most coveted prize in professional bass fishing, $1 million.
